Female Artist of the Month: Nessa Rica (StartCentral Daily)

Congratulations, Nessa!!!
From the StarCentral Daily:
Nessa was already singing at the tender age of 4, so it is safe to assume that singing is imbedded in her blood.
Nessa’s first public performance was at church at the tender age of 4, she then took piano lesson at the tender age of 5 then at 10 years old she has already written her first song!
Will wonders never cease?
Nessa actually grew up in Sydney’s inner west but after moving to Los Angeles, California back in 2007, her voice was discovered via a jam session. After she graduated from high school she kicked her musical career to fulltime mode by performing every Friday and recording her EP album “Hearts Desire.”
So far she has been fortunate to collaborate with some of the most in demand underground artists such as Gabe Bondoc, Passion, Bryan Keith and many more. Her main inspiration in music is God and her first songs were actually about her childhood experiences and lessons that she’s learnt along the way through church.
Her style of music ranges from RnB soul acoustic to pop, and her songs are always filled with personal “close to heart” stories which she hopes can flow down to her audience and create a similar sense of emotion.
Her ambrosial angelic voice is a great asset which unsurprisingly always manages to astound the crowd. Her future goals include collaborating with more artists and hopefully releasing another EP or a full length album next year.
Check out the interview and follow her on Twitter!
AJ Rafael Presents “Music Speaks” – 8/28 & 8/29
Why?
AJ Rafael:
“Music Speaks” has an important mission, aiming to spread awareness about Autism, and encourage action that would improve the conditions of the lives and families that it affects.
A personal experience that inspired this goal is when my nephew, Nathan, was diagnosed with Autism when he was about two years old. Despite his condition, Nathan is a loving, fun, and active child who is very responsive to all of us, and is born with the love of music and dance. The more we love and watch over Nathan as he grows older, the more frustrating it can be knowing that his peers will never fully understand his situation, and these misunderstandings could lead to prejudice and pain for him throughout his life.
“Music Speaks” means utilizing the gifts of Music and Dance to inspire those fortunate enough to be born without autism to speak out for those who were, by being aware of their condition and taking action towards improving their living conditions and perhaps even uncovering the mystery behind its cause.
