Gawad Kalinga (GK) translated in English means”to give care”. It is also an alternative solution to the blatant problem of poverty not just in the Philippines, but in the world. Its goal: to create a higher standard of life, to return dignity to the people, and create hope in the world.

Be a part of history at the first ever Official BlogTV event to be held in San Diego.
This will be the biggest event that blogtv.com will have this year. Executives from blogTV.com have agreed to promote and feature this event on the blog homepage. Expected turnout is 1000+ with many blogTV and youtube personalities attending. There will be many featured talents taking up stage that day including Passion, Gabe Bondoc, JR Aquino, Cathy Nguyen, Randolph Parmejo, Alyssa Bernal, AJ Rafael, and Melissa Polinar.
This event is going to be exciting and it will be talked about for many months after.
Ticket prices are set to be $20 and will be available for presale April 1, 2009. Concessions will be available as well as tshirts and cds from many of the performing artist. Full color programs will be available as well with artist profile pages and lot of space to get those autographs. So bring some extra money.
